(June 9, 2015) — Girlfriends Films is using the June selection for its charity program to celebrate Caitlyn Jenner and her gender transformation. A $1,000 donation will be made to the National Center for Transgender Equality in Jenner’s name. The adult studio is also calling upon other companies in the industry to match its donation and help support the transgender community.

National Center for Transgender Equality was founded in 2003 by transgender activists who recognized the urgent need for policy change to advance transgender equality. Providing a powerful transgender advocacy presence in Washington, DC, NCTE is composed of a team of hard-working staff members and supported by a nationwide community of transgender people, allies, and advocates with an extensive record of winning life-saving change for transgender people.

To join Girlfriends Films in supporting the National Center for Transgender Equality, click here.

The adult entertainment industry has recently become famous for its very public offers to celebrities, tempting them to appear in movies for a large amount of money – sometimes as much as $1 million. Celebrities targeted include Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Tara Reid, Pipa Middleton, Rob Gronkowski, and more.

Last week, Girlfriends Films took a different approach, sending Caitlyn Jenner’s representatives a letter giving her the opportunity to direct or appear in an erotic educational movie raising awareness for the transgender community. All profits from the film would be donated to a transgender non-profit of Jenner’s choice. The offer was politely declined via email by Jenner’s publicity team.

“Everyone at Girlfriends Films was inspired by Caitlyn’s Vanity Fair cover and her story,” says Girlfriends Films President Moose. “We were very sincere in making our movie offer in order to help bring even more awareness, support, and money to the transgender community. However, we also want to applaud Caitlyn’s transition through our charity program.”

“I invite our friends and colleagues in the adult industry to join us in donating to National Center for Transgender Equality,” adds Moose. “We in the adult movie-making industry have been judged and marginalized by society for decades and have great compassion for other individuals who are fighting for acceptance and tolerance.
“The reason I picked this charity is because the military is close to me,” states Deauxma. “My father was a retired vet, and so is my husband, who served 20 years in the Air Force. The Intrepid House is also located here in my hometown of San Antonio, Texas.”

Deauxma continues, “The fund provides services in support of military personnel severely injured protecting our nation; services are designed to improve the medical care provided to them and enhance their ability to return to military service or a productive and independent civilian life. Our vets and active duty military give so much and get so little in return for their service to our country, so that we can all live in a free world. Those wounded and scarred should be given as much help as they can to live out a normal and peaceful life.”
The Armed Services YMCA is a top-rated military nonprofit de- signed to make military life easier on families.

“I am selecting this organization for two primary reasons,” states Dave. “First, their support of our military families, as it is the entire family that sacrifices when a loved one is called upon to assist in maintaining the safety many of us take for granted, and the freedoms allowing us to express our differing opinions. The second reason is because of its support of the needs of our troops’ children through its programs, as well as its collaborative efforts with Operation Homefront and other quality organizations.”

The Armed Services YMCA provides hands-on, innovative, specialized programs and support ser- vices to military service members and their families with a particular focus on junior-enlisted men and women — the individuals on the front lines of defending America.
“I have been honored this month to choose a charity for our company’s monthly donation program,” states Karen. “My husband was diagnosed with early onset Dementia two years ago, and I have watched the man I’ve known and loved for over 40 years become unable to work, remember recent events, and perform ordinary daily activities. His onset was slow, and I didn’t recognize the signs at first. He kept getting lost and didn’t seem to remember the simplest things. Medication doesn’t seem to do much, but we hold out for a cure. I also watched my father, mother-in-law, and father in-law also suffer with this memory stealing disease. You never know if it will happen to you or your family.”

“I have chosen the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America as my charity because this organization is helping raise awareness and educate health care profession and the public at large,” explains Karen. “They also provide care and services to individuals and caregivers confronting dementia through member organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals suffering with Dementia/Alzheimer’s, as well as their families.”
It is a tragedy that can be prevented if parents had the proper tools and counseling to identify their negative behavior. I can only hope my contribution can save at least one child from enduring any form of abuse. I want to thank Girlfriends Films for allowing its employees to contribute towards a worthy cause.”

Prevent Child Abuse America works to ensure the healthy development of children nationwide, rec- ognizing child development is a building block for both community and economic development. In- novative communities across the country are achieving great results in preventing abuse and neglect from ever occurring, and Prevent Child Abuse America is committed to bringing this kind of ingenuity to communities everywhere.

Each month, Girlfriends Films turns to its employees, performers, directors, and adult industry prin- cipals to select a charity to support. In 2013, the Girlfriends Films Charity Program donated over $20,000 to a wide array of philanthropic organizations, from medical institutes to animal sanctuaries.
“I am honored to be working for such a great company,” says Evan. “Employees are treated fairly, and even though our country is facing financial turmoil, I am blessed to still have my position. The experience working for Girlfriends Films on series like ‘Road Queen’ and ‘Lesbian Ghost Stories’ has been rewarding, and each day I continue to expand my knowledge in film editing. I have met wonder- ful co-workers and enjoy coming to work every day. I was amazed when we were recently asked to pick a charity in which our company will make a contribution to on our behalf. I embrace any corpora- tion that gives back to such charities and community.”
The organization, which campaigns to improve policy, build capacity, and educate opinion leaders, will receive a $1000 donation from Girlfriends Films on behalf of Marla.

“Most of the charities on the list we were given are amazingly worthwhile causes, and it is very difficult to pick just one,” admits Marla. “I have chosen the National Alliance to End Homelessness, as I am so saddened by the fact I see homeless people on the streets almost every day, sometimes mentally ill and / or in bad shape. I believe one of the most basic needs is for each person to have a home and preferably one that is as safe and as comfortable as pos- sible.”

Marla continues, “Although I don’t know much about this charity, it had an A+ rating on CharityWatch.org, and I am sure they will use the donation towards the goal of ending homelessness, as their name implies.”

According to its website, the National Alliance to End Homelessness is a leading voice on federal homelessness policy <http://www.endhomelessness.org/section/policy> . From advocating for improved federal policy to analyzing enacted and proposed legislation, the Alliance actively engages in the legislative process. The Alliance works collab- oratively with public, private, and nonprofit partners to develop, analyze, and advocate for policy solutions to home- lessness.

The Alliance provides capacity-building assistance through its Center for Capacity Building <http://www.endhome- lessness.org/section/aboutus/working_groups/capacity_building> to help communities turn policy solutions and proven best practices into viable, on-the-ground programs. The Alliance provides communities across the country with best practices, how-to kits, and technical assistance trainings to help them implement solutions developed through policy, research, and practice.
AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which received great attention and undoubtedly even more donations when it featured a gay couple getting married on a Pasadena Rose Parade float, is leading the charge against porn filming. With their fabrications and lies about STD transmissions on adult sets, they have been very effective in slinging lots of mud on us. Free Speech Coalition leads the adult industry’s defense but does so with a budget that is only a fraction of the budget spent by AHCF.

Sadly, there seems to be more and more headlines about child pornography cases. No companies within the industry would ever exploit a child. The one famous case was Traci Lords, of course, but 30 years has passed since that debacle. Since then, nearly everyone in the industry has demanded a government-issued photo ID from all performers, even our oldest MILF’s. Today, child porn only takes place between individuals, not adult companies. Still, the average person reading such headlines can be quick to condemn our industry. Our other industry trade group, ASACP (Adult Sites Against Child Pornography) is a watchdog organization that looks for child porn and, upon finding them, reports such cases to local and federal authorities.

As usual, Girlfriends Films is among the leaders when it comes to funding these organizations. We donate at least $1,000 each month to charitable causes. As January loses, we are donating $1,000 to be split by Free Speech Coalition and ASACP. We encourage others to do the same, especially the many companies in the adult industry who so far given nothing while riding the coat tails of the short list of responsible companies like Girlfriends Films.girlfriendsfilmshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07900450581463741392noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3326917827576734907.post-90816594187281689012013-12-01T13:57:00.000-08:002014-08-26T13:57:43.138-07:00Girlfriends Films’ December Charity Donation Benefits the Brain Trauma FoundationOn November 16, in Phoenix, Arizona, a promising young and recently married engineer had a seemingly simple accident. He fell off the back of a golf cart, striking his head on pavement. He was immediately taken to the hospital where – due to the severity of his injury – two parts of skull were removed to relieve pressure on the brain. Despite heroic efforts, the young man, Tony died nine days later.

Tony didn’t work at Girlfriends Films, but he is the brother-in-law of Moose, who heads up our sales & marketing effort, in addition to taking care of most of Girlfriends Films’ business affairs. Those who have watched our membership-site talk shows or kept in touch with our forum know Girlfriends Films has grown into a close family, from which nobody has ever quit or retired. We consider Tony a family member.

This month, to honor Tony, we are making our $1,000 donation to the Brain Trauma Foundation, headquartered in New York City. Founded in 1986, it facilitates research on brain injuries, publishes guidelines for treatment, and provides information for patients and families who deal with brain injuries. They even have a special program to assist field medics working in combat zones.

While nearly all of Girlfriends Films’ monthly donations are specified by our performers, our traditional year-end charity donations are selected by management to benefit our customers, whether they are at the wholesale level or are our ultimate consumers. This event was a reminder as to how unexpectedly catastrophic accidents can happen to any of us. Hopefully, none of us will ever suffer such an occurrence, however, we give now so you and your families will benefit from their services if the unspeakable ever does happen.
The Sunshine Foundation will receive $1,000 from Girlfriends Films. Sunshine Foundation’s sole purpose is to answer the dreams of chronically ill, seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children ages three to eighteen, whose families cannot fulfill their requests due to financial strain that the child’s illness may cause.

“Thank you, Girlfriends Films, for allowing me to select The Sunshine Foundation for this month’s charity,” says Sands. “It’s so important for kids to experience childhood as it’s meant to be – and organizations like The Sunshine Foundation make that a reality for so many who otherwise cannot. I hope that this donation will help some kids have some great experiences so they can have as much of a happy childhood as possible.”

Bill Sample founded Sunshine Foundation in 1976 as an idea born during his many years as a Philadelphia police officer. Stationed on protective duty at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Bill often met chronically ill or terminally ill children and their families. Through talking with the families, he learned the emotional and financial strain that comes with having a seriously ill child. Mounting medical bills and time off from work made providing their child with what could be their last dream seem out of reach.

After taking out a personal loan and gathering a small group of dedicated volunteers, Bill founded Sunshine Foundation, the Original Wish Granting Organization, with the mission of answering the dreams of chronically ill, seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children ages three to eighteen, whose families cannot fulfill their requests due to the financial strain that the child’s illness may cause.

With Bills direction, Sunshine Foundation has grown to include the Dream Village, a 22 square acre property, 15 miles of the Orlando theme parks, where children and their families stay in one of 9 fairytale themed cottages and enjoy a handicapped accessible playground, a wheelchair accessible pool and a miniature golf course during their stay.

Sunshine Foundation has answered over 36,000 dreams to date, and has been able to maintain that 82% of all donations go directly to children’s programs.
catalyst for Girlfriends Films’ charitable donations program can be
traced back to a single person, my sister Shelley. She was a school
teacher and lived modestly, regularly giving a part of her paycheck to
charities that dealt with causes she believed in. Well-traveled and
highly schooled in geography and sociology, Shelley would occasionally
tell me about a charitable donation she’d just made and why she made it.
She was careful with her donations, vetting various charity groups via
internet research including the web site, www.charitywatch.org.

While I initially admired Shelley’s generosity, I was happy to spend my
money in other ways. However, the seed of giving that Shelly planted
continued to grow and there became a point when I could no longer
acquire discretionary goods while at the same time turning a blind eye
to the problems suffered by others less fortunate than myself..
.
The seeds of Shelley’s concerns and good example spawned Girlfriends
Films’ charity program as well as the company’s active interest and
participation in social justices such as free speech and the freedom of
consumers to enjoy pornography in the privacy of their own homes. .
.
After a two-year physical slide with a rare muscle disease and then a
diagnosis of colon cancer this past June, Shelley died September 19.
Through the example she set, her giving continues thru the Girlfriends
Films’ charity program as well as our political involvement in industry
matters. .
.
I’ve heard that charitable donations can be more
meaningful if they remain anonymous. I disagree with that. For many of
us – myself included – it is too easy not to give to others without
being exposed to the good examples set by others. By publicizing our
giving program and industry involvement, Girlfriends Films tries to get
others to see the larger picture and become involved, as well..
.
Every month Girlfriends Films has one of its performers designate the
recipient of a $1,000 charity donation. In Shelley’s memory I’m
commandeering this month’s donation and designate that it be given to
Cancer Research Institute. Why CRI? It’s hard to find a Girlfriends
Films employee, customer, or anyone in our industry who hasn’t had a
loved one devastated by this disease. Founded in 1953, CRI has proven
itself in developing cures and bringing back health to cancer victims. .
.
Dan O’Connell, President Girlfriends Filmsgirlfriendsfilmshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07900450581463741392noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3326917827576734907.post-10644704610844209432013-09-01T13:19:00.000-07:002014-08-26T13:19:39.130-07:00HotMovies.com Selects Center for Great Apes as Girlfriends Films’September Charity, Donates Additional $5,000The Center for Great Apes is Girlfriends Films’ September charity, as
selected by popular VOD (video-on-demand) website HotMovies.com. The
Center is a permanent sanctuary for orangutans and chimpanzees rescued
or retired from the entertainment industry or research purposes, as well
as ones no longer wanted as pets. In addition to receiving $1,000 from
Girlfriends Films in the name of HotMovies.com, the organization will
receive an additional $5,000 from the socially and environmentally
conscious adult site.

Per its mission statement, lifetime care
is provided to great apes with dignity in a safe, healthy, and enriching
environment at the Center, located in Wauchula, Florida. Many people
are unaware of the rampant abuse older chimpanzees and orangutans face.
They see young, friendly, cuddly animals in movies, the circus, and
other places, however, when these animals mature to 7-years-old, they
often become too big and strong for these uses. Many are then confined
to small cages for many years because owners no longer have use for
them.

“The stories of what happens to many of these apes are
heartbreaking,” states a HotMovies.com representative. “I visited this
sanctuary about nine years ago and could not believe the wonderful work
they do. They have grown immensely over the years because of the help
from many kind people. The Center has updated and expanded its facility
and now houses many more residents than when I visited.”girlfriendsfilmshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07900450581463741392noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3326917827576734907.post-26179287230508605942013-08-01T13:12:00.000-07:002014-08-26T13:12:36.551-07:00Tasha Reign Selects CancerCare for Girlfriends Films’ August CharityPerformer

$1,000 from Girlfriends Films, which Reign says will honor the memory of

counseling, support groups, and financial assistance.

“My father
passed away from Sarcoma cancer about three years ago, when I was just
21… He was my role model,” says Tasha Reign. “With the public donation
to CancerCare, I hope to help raise awareness about the care given to
cancer patients and how important it is to their recovery, or in the
event of their passing, to their friends and family.”

Acting
under the knowledge a cancer diagnosis can turn a person’s world upside
down – emotionally, physically, and financially – CancerCare was created
to help. The organization provides telephone, online, and face-to-face
counseling, support groups, education, publications, and financial and
co-payment assistance. Professional oncology social workers offer
personalized care, while all of CancerCare’s services are free of
charge.

Reign adds, “Support groups and counseling for a
patient’s loved ones is pertinent in the overall care for cancer.
Everyone is affected by the awful disease in one way or another, so I am
honored for Girlfriends Films to donate to this amazing charity, which
does so much.”

For more information about CancerCare and to join

well-respected member of the adult entertainment industry’s family –
Shelly Sandau, Director of Purchasing for Lion’s Den’s chain of 43
retail stores. Girlfriends Films’ principals Dan O’Connell and Moose are
honored to donate $1000 to help Sandau establish an annual scholarship
in the name of his beloved daughter, Ashley Julia Sandau, who is
remembered by friends and family as a loving, adventurous, and daring
young woman. The Ashley Julia Sandau Scholarship Fund will be awarded
each year to a student majoring in Journalism / Mass Communications at
St. Bonaventure University, Ashley’s alma mater.

Ashley Julia
Sandau graduated second in her field from St. Bonaventure University in
2010 with a bachelors in Journalism / Mass Communications. In 2011, she
earned a masters degree in Integrated Marketing and began working for
Solomon Levy at System JO in Valencia, CA. “Many people in our industry
had a chance to meet Ashley while she was working for System JO,” states
Ashley’s father, Shelly. “She attended 2 ILS shows and the winter ANME
show in 2012. Ashley is actually the person who came up with the idea to
have a soft serve ice cream machine at the spring ILS to promote System
JO flavored lubes – they had some ice cream flavors.”

While
sorting through old school papers, Ashley’s mother, Liz, found an
epithet Ashley wrote for her high school AP English class when she was
16. In it, Ashley discussed how she wanted to be remembered: “I just
want to be remembered by those I love as good and kind, but not too
good... just the right amount of daring, fearlessness, flirtation, and
mischief. I want peple to look back on me, the times we had and the
memories they made with me, and smile.” “Ashley was the closest person
to being perfect I have ever known,” says Shelly. “She always had a kind
word about everyone she ever knew. She was as beautiful on the inside
as she was on the outside – extremely intelligent, a true joy to be
around. She is truly missed by everyone who knew her.”

By
creating the scholarship in her name, Ashley’s parents are ensuring the
young woman will continue to impact the lives of others even after her
death. For the fund to be activated, it must reach $7,500.00. To

DeArmond. “I truly admire the sacrifice and commitment it takes to train
for such a long bike ride. The amount of time spent on not only
physical conditioning and training, but also to the actual fundraising
itself, is astronomical. It is what’s inspired me to do all I can to
contribute and to humble myself to be more public about my desire to
give back to the causes I so desperately believe in and want to
support.” DeArmond continues, “Girlfriends Films will be joining me in
the sponsorship of one rider in this year’s AIDS/Lifecycle event. I am
