Girlfriends Films Announces 2010 Charity Recipients

'Tis the season of giving, and in that spirit Girlfriends Films has completed its annual charitable gifting program. As in the past, the company has various models choose a non-profit organization that receives $1,000 donation in that model's name. The only requirement is that the charity has a "B+" rating or better by the American Institute of Philanthropy (http://www.charitywatch.org/toprated.html). We hope our actions will inspire other companies to look beyond the profit margin, see the wider world around us, and know that we have the ability to create positive change.

2010 Charity Picks and Recipients for $1,000 Donations

Prinzzess Farm Sanctuary Cancer Research Foundation “I am excited to be a part of choosing the recipients of these donations.  Hopefully, I’ve made a difference.”	Candi-Girl (GFF camera operator) Best Friends Animal Society "In a world where innocent animals simply cannot protect themselves from harm's way they need a voice to fight for their equal right to enjoy life..."
Tanya Tate Cancer Research Institute “Because I don’t want to say good-bye to any more loved ones until they have lived their full lives, my choice is for the Cancer Research Institute.”	Dana DeArmond Doctors Without Borders “I give my undying love and respect to Girlfriends films for letting their performers take part in charitable contributions, setting the highest standards in business practices for adult and the common good of the general public.”
Elexis Monroe Planned Parenthood Action Fund “When I had my health issues last year, along with my other surgery, PP was a huge support system for me.”	Magdalene St. Michaels Best Friends Animal Sanctuary “Animals have no voice in this world and it is up to us to protect them from harm.”
Brenda James Sunshine Foundation “Children are some of the most innocent victims of disease, illness, and abuse in our world.”	Zoe Britton International Planned Parenthood Federation “Planned Parenthood has been the nation’s leading sexual/reproductive health care provider and advocate since 1942.”
Celeste Star Best Friends Animal Society Best Friends Animal Society is a charity that rescues, rehabilitates, and places animals in loving, safe homes. I know there are so many great organizations out there and I’m thrilled to help one I really believe in.	Deauxma Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund “Whether it be medical, mental or everyday life, this fund provides guidance and monetary support to those unfortunate soldiers who have been injured protecting our freedoms.”
Cindy Child Find America “As a parent I think the worst thing in the world would be to have your child disappear,  not knowing where your child is, or what happened to them.”	Melissa Monet Compassion and Choices “I have no words that can describe watching a friend suffer as they beg for help, but I can help support efforts by this group to aid a dignified end.”
Julia Ann Animal Welfare Institute “Not only do they help to protect the common household pet but they are front line when it comes to farming animals and our little ocean friends.”	India Summer Homes For Our Troops “What better way to help those men and women who have selflessly and bravely served us by restoring their freedom and independence.”

In addition, Girlfriends Films gave $1,000 donations to each of the following groups:
  Reading is Fundamental
Reading is Fundamental is an organization that puts books in the hands of readers, nurturing youngsters hungry for knowledge and passionate about learning.
Population Council
The Population Council seeks to improve the well-being and reproductive health of current and future generations around the world, and to help achieve a humane, equitable, and sustainable balance between people and resources.
Boys and Girls Clubs of America
Today's kids will be running this country before you know it, and this outfit has a number of great programs for helping them reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Cancer Research Institute
Many if not most members of Girlfriends Films' extended family members have at some time been affected by cancer striking a loved one
To support the adult industry, Girlfriends Films made donations to two very worthy groups: Free Speech Coalition (FSC), $5000.00, and Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) $5000.00.
